Radek Dajer

A will, a contract to buy a house or a letter from an employer can turn on a single word. Most people find it easier to ask questions and make decisions in their first language. For many Polish Australians, especially parents and grandparents, that language is Polish, and it is the language we use with them.

Radek Dajer is an Australian lawyer and notary public at Professional Edge Lawyers. He meets clients by video anywhere in Australia, in Polish or English. Notarial documents are signed with him in person at our Frankston office in Victoria.

How it works

01

Write or call

Tell us about your matter through the form, by email or on 1800 776 529. You will hear from us within one business day: a call, an email or a text, as you prefer.

02

A written quote before we start

If the work can be priced in advance, the quote is a fixed fee; if not, we charge by the hour and give you a written estimate. Work starts only once you accept.

03

Meet online or in Frankston

Most matters are handled by video, from anywhere in Australia or from Poland. Clients in Australia can sign documents for Victorian estates and property sales electronically, and notarial documents need a visit to our Frankston office.

Where we can help

Some of our work is for Victorian matters only. Other matters we take on anywhere in Australia.

Victoria only

  • wills
  • probate and deceased estates
  • buying and selling property
  • business leases
  • Victorian powers of attorney

Anywhere in Australia

  • family law, except in Western Australia, which has its own family court (the Family Court of Western Australia)
  • Fair Work matters, for employees and for employers
  • federal disputes, for example with the Australian Taxation Office or the Australian Border Force
  • Victorian estates and property, when you live in another state

We do not handle wills, probate or conveyancing under another state’s law. If you live in Poland, we meet by video.

Questions

Have another question? Phone 1800 776 529 or send us a message.

No, Radek practises Australian law. When a matter turns on Polish law, such as a parent’s estate in Poland, we bring in a lawyer or notary in Poland. Our Matters in Poland page covers the Australian side.

Yes, most matters are handled by video, wherever you are in Australia or in Poland. A phone or computer with a camera is enough. Clients in Australia can sign documents for Victorian estates and property sales electronically.

Not for most matters. Notarial documents, such as a power of attorney for selling a flat in Poland, must be signed in person, at our office in Frankston. For anything else, such as a will, we explain how it must be signed when we take on your matter.

It depends on the matter, so we give you the cost in writing before any work starts. Where the work allows, that is a fixed fee; otherwise it is an hourly rate with a written estimate.

Yes. Radek can run one meeting in both languages, so no interpreter is needed.

Please note

Radek Dajer is an Australian lawyer and notary public who speaks Polish. He practises Australian law and does not advise on Polish law; for questions of Polish law, we bring in a lawyer or notary in Poland.
